The Astoria Scandinavian Midsummer Festival is pleased to announce the 5th Annual Running/Walking of the Trolls!  We invite you to join us for a walk or run in the beautiful countryside.  This year there are different distances for to suite all walkers and runners. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Scandinavian Midsummer Festival Association Scholarship Fund.

Date:    Sunday, June 21, 2008

Time:     Race starts at 8:30 a.m. , race check-in 7:00-8:00 a.m.

Entry Fee:   $20.00.  Fee includes: official Running of the Trolls t-shirt, entry button to Festival & parking pass (Sunday only), and bottle of water at end of race.

Number/T-shirt/Festival button pickup: Bib number, T-shirt, Festival entry button will be available at check-in on race day ( 7:00-8:00 ).  T-shirts are only guaranteed if you register by June 6, 2008 .

Course:   Leave from the Clatsop County Fairgrounds parking lot, follow Walluski Loop Road to Labiske Lane turn off, turn around and follow same route back to

Fairgrounds. There will be a 1.5 Mile, a 3 Mile and a 5.75 Mile course. The area is m ostly flat with one gradual hill 5.75-mile (approx. 9 k) scenic, county road.

Parking: Parking is available at the Clatsop County Fairgrounds.  Please let them know you are participating in the “Running of the Trolls” when you enter the parking lot.

Awards:   Overall top male and female finisher.
