What will The Astoria Scandinavian Midsummer Festival Association do with my support?

The Astoria Scandinavian Midsummer Festival is looking forward to 40 years of celebrating the Danish, Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian, and Swedish heritage of the greater Astoria area. Over the years we have grown from a 1-day event to a 3-day Midsummer Festival and our November Lucia Festival. Many entertainers have been brought here from the Scandinavian Countries. This year we are happy to welcome Ryttergarden Spillemaend and the Ballerup Folkdancers from Denmark . Many scholarships have been awarded to high school students by the festival association and we hope to expand our numbers.

The Association would like to continue our traditions and preserve them for future generations. With your help we will be able to do so. The festival association strives to provide an experience for all. Old country feelings run deep here. We would like to take steps now to ensure that future generations will not forget. To help us in our quest we created our fund raising sponsorship to provide financial stability and support for our organization.
